Photographs from the first day of the 2026/2027 school year at Bluffton Elementary School
There are some new faces down in the elementary this year! The old fifth-grade science teacher and current high school football coach, Mr. Richards, is now our new Principal for the elementary school! We also welcome several new teachers to the elementary. First, there is Sierra Lieurance. She is a third-grade teacher with a class of 23 amazing students! Second, there's Steve Phillips. He is a fifth-grade science teacher with a class of 20 excellent students! We are also welcoming a new librarian, Adde Berdin. She is taking the place of Teri Stechschulte, who retired at the end of last school year.
We hope that this school year is a catalyst for many memories, friendships, and wonderful experiences. All of us here at Bluffton Schools wish you all a great 2026/2027 school year!

The event featured a wide variety of performances, including singing, dancing, instrumental performances, and creative group routines. Students demonstrated not only their talents, but also their confidence, preparation, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones.
The talent show highlighted the supportive and encouraging environment that exists throughout Bluffton Schools. Audience members filled the room with applause and encouragement as students took the stage and shared their abilities with the community.
Teachers and staff worked hard behind the scenes to help organize the event and support students as they prepared for their performances. The evening was a great reminder of the creativity, energy, and school spirit that our students bring to Bluffton Schools each day.
Bluffton Schools would like to thank all of the students who participated, the families who attended, and the staff members who helped make the event such a success. Pirate Nation is proud of the courage and talent displayed by our 4th and 5th grade students!
